After being invited two years ago, to play on the U.S. Select Team, it appears Boston Celtics' guard Marcus Smart has been invited back.

According to a Boston Globe report, Jerry Colangelo, who operates as the chairman of USA Basketball, said he felt Smart performed well while on the Select Team a couple of summers ago and that the team would like to have him back.

Smart is coming off of his second season in Boston. While he's dealt with a number of injuries through his brief Celtics career, Smart has averaged 8.4 points. 3.1 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game.

The guard turned his performance up a notch in the postseason, this year, as he averaged 12 points, three assists and 4.5 rebounds in six games.
