After all the hubbub over who the Boston Celtics will take with the number one overall pick in next week's NBA draft, it appears that the team might not even be making the selection after all.

According to ESPN's Marc Stein and Zach Lowe, the C's are in "serious" discussions with the Philadelphia 76ers regarding dealing the top pick.

Philly is apparently hoping to climb up in the draft in order to select presumed number one pick Markelle Fultz, who has been linked closely to the C's since they were awarded the first selection in the draft lottery.

With Boston reportedly showing a lot of interest in Kansas forward Josh Jackson, who will likely be available when the Sixers pick at number three overall, it might make sense for the C's to swap the top pick for the third and other assets.

According to a CBSSports.com report, the C's would likely get the third overall pick and a future first rounder as compensation for the top overall pick.

While no deal is official yet, it will be interesting to keep tabs on the two teams and see if a blockbuster is pulled off.
