Cancer survivors will be in the spotlight Friday night and Saturday at the annual Relay For Life at Paul Walsh Field in New Bedford.

The event is sponsored by the American Cancer Society.

Ana Costa is a cancer survivor and organizer of the Relay For Life.  She's inviting all cancer survivors to turn out, and take part in the survivor lap at 6pm....

Among those leading the survivor lap will be New Bedford Police Chief David Provencher and 100 year old Bernice Tripp.

Provencher was diagnosed with throat cancer in 1998, while Tripp is a five time cancer survivor, first diagnosed in 1982.
