Remember Tammy Wynette's 1975 hit Stand By Your Man? You could play it while reading this blog about Camille Cosby who is apparently standing by Bill's side even after his 2005 deposition admitting to drugging women has become public. Sources tell Page Six that she is denying that he is a rapist and believes that his infidelity is a private matter.

One insider said, "Camille still doesn't believe that Bill provided drugs and had sex with women without their consent. She's well aware of his cheating, but she doesn't believe that her husband is a rapist." Another source said, "Mrs. Cosby is a proud, dignified but stubborn woman. You can say that she's standing by her husband, but really, the more people stand against him, the more she perceives it as an affront to her and all that she's done to make him a star."

She allegedly told a friend, "You have to allow for space to let your partner do what he wants. I have done that and Bill has done that and there's no jealously, no friction."

Camille is also Bill's business manager and reportedly held a crisis meeting last week with all of his advisers where she said, "I created him, I knew what I was getting and we'll fix this. They are making him out to be such a bad guy, a monster. People are jumping ship."

The advisers supposedly told Bill to stop trying to stage a comeback and close ranks on the people he allows close to him.

Do you think people in general will lose respect for Camille because of her stance? Is it because Camille understands the legacy and all the money that's at stake? Rape is rape. What kind of a man needs to drug women to have sex with them?
