As a close friend of Marlene Tavares, does anyone find it odd that Mr. Andrade was never told once by her that she once worked closely with the former 1st Lady of America, Secretary of State and New York Senator over the years? In his recorded statement to the WBSM Newsroom, Andrade told WBSM News he thinks the story is "likely true". He wasn't able to state more concrete evidence with recollections of her reciting this remarkable event in her life. A conversation never took place about someone both of the two are obvious supporters of and who have believed in these same ideals as the mission of the CDF for decades.

He was historically and logistically incorrect on a number of things in his appearance.

1) Massachusetts G.L. Ch. #766 passed and was signed into law in 1972, a year before Hillary Rodham claims she rescued the disabled from the 'cold city' of New Bedford who otherwise allowed a little girl in a wheelchair to waste away in the corner of a small porch in 1973.

2) He said some schools didn't have ramps or ways for wheelchairs to get around, which is true but each child was assessed, placed at and brought to and from schools with complete access for these challenges in 1973 and even before Chapter 766!

Mr. Andrade speaks in ignorance as every child who asked and who the schools were made aware of, were brought door to door by the taxpayers of New Bedford under the Democratic leadership of Mayors Harrington, Rogers and Markey before Hillary began her canvassing New Bedford for the Children's Defense Fund.

Neither In her CDF in 1973 mission, nor in her July 28, 2016 was she impeaching the parents or cultural roadblocks to get kids to school.

"So, I went to work for the Children's Defense Fund, going door-to-door in New Bedford, Mass., on behalf of children with disabilities who were denied the chance to go to school."

"To drive real progress, you have to change both hearts and laws. You need both understanding and action. So we gathered facts. We built a coalition. And our work helped convince Congress to ensure access to education for all students with disabilities." - HRC 7/28/2016

She and the other 44 staffers as well as others at the CDF were specifically changing laws and the way schools were built and other things for the handicapped, mentally disabled and those not yet speaking English in American Public Schools. Good work indeed but again, it was not a true scenario she depicted in her anecdotal in New Bedford, Massachusetts in 1973.
