Today was the deadline for New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's legal team to file an appeal of the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals' decision to reimpose the 4-game Deflategate suspension levied against the star by the NFL.

seek a rehearing of the case by the entire 2nd circuit.
According to an ESPN report

While the official appeal is expected this afternoon, and will be asking that the entire set of 2nd Circuit judges rehear the case, the approval of a rehearing is not guaranteed.

For the case to be reheard, seven of the 13 2nd Circuit judges would have to agree that the case warrants an "en banc" hearing. If that request is denied, Brady could then take his appeal to the Supreme Court.
