Boys & Girls Club of Greater New Bedford [Townsquare Sunday]

The New Bedford's Boys and Girls Club has been a safe haven for the city's young people for nearly 150 years. For many years, the focus has been on sports and recreation, but under the leadership of Director Robbie Mendes, the Boys and Girls Club has added an educational component with a strong technology program, tutors from the student-body at UMass Dartmouth, and an expanded arts program to serve the youngsters of New Bedford. Mendes joins Jim Phillips this week to discuss the club programs and some of their future goals.
