Boston Celtics Star Jayson Tatum Shares This With Jay Leno
Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum and comedian Jay Leno share a common interest. They collect cars – extreme luxury and vintage cars.
DuPont Registry says, "Jay Leno's extensive car collection is an ever-changing showcase of automotive magnificence." According to the site, "Jay Leno's car collection consists of over 181 cars and 161 motorcycles."
Tatum collects "top-of-the-line" automobiles, says the Car Collectors Club.
The site says, "Jayson Tatum's car collection includes a luxurious Mercedes-AMG G 63, a vintage jet black 1968 Ford Mustang GT390, and a quarter of a million dollar Rolls Royce Wraith," valued at over $300,000.
DuPont Registry says Leno owns a 2009 Aston Martin DBS, a 2011 Audi R8 V10 Spyder, and a 2015 BAC Mono, and that's not all. The site says Leno also possesses a 1941 American LaFrance Series 600 pumper V-12 Firetruck, a 1906 Advance Steam Traction Engine, and a 1966 Chevrolet Corvair Yenko Stinger just for fun.
Tatum and Leno have something other than their love of cars in common. Both men have Massachusetts ties.
While born in New Rochelle, New York, Leno was raised in Andover, Massachusetts, graduating from Andover High School and Emerson College in Boston.
Leno's primary residence is in California, but he and his wife Mavis have a home on Ocean Drive in Newport, Rhode Island.
Tatum is from St. Louis, Missouri, but lives in a $4 million home in Newton, Massachusetts when not scoring points for the Boston Celtics.
Not sure if Jay Leno and Jayson Tatum have ever met, but given their mutual love of expensive cars and their ties to Massachusetts, perhaps an introduction is in order.
