Body Found on New Bedford’s West Beach

NEW BEDFORD — A body was found Tuesday morning on West Beach in New Bedford's South End.

New Bedford Police confirmed to WBSM News a deceased male was found on the beach.

Gregg Miliote, spokesman for the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, says the victim was a 43-year-old man. He says it was an apparent overdose or medical-related death, and is not considered suspicious.
