A centuries-old New Bedford tradition of learning through intellectual debate is being revived this Spring with the rebirth of the New Bedford Lyceum at the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center. Celebrating this renaissance on April 1 at 8 pm, legendary journalist and author, Bob Woodward, will bring a wealth of experience and insight on how the power of the executive branch has morphed over the years. With the election of President Donald Trump, the 45 year journalistic veteran will address his newest book and what he sees as likely changes during the next administration.

Woodward will share his insights into the new administration, and will take the audience behind-the-scenes of political power and the often hidden motives of key players.

Bob Woodward: The Age Of The American Presidency is part of the reawakening of the first lectures at Liberty Hall that welcomed such greats as Frederick Douglass, Herman Melville, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Charles Dickens, Stephen Foster and Abraham Lincoln among others.

Tickets will go fast. Prices start at $25/$35/$45 and $75. The $75 level includes a post-performance meet and greet with Bob Woodward. Tickets available online at zeiterion.org.

I'll have more information about this event and the revivification of the New Bedford Lyceum as we get closer to Saturday, April 1, 2017.
