Attempted Robber Shows Gun, Leaves Empty-Handed

A Domino’s Pizza delivery person was approached by a man with a small handgun who asked him for his money Wednesday night in the 20-block of Acushnet Avenue.

The man told police he had made a delivery to a residence in the area and was returning to his vehicle when he was approached by a dark-skinned black male, about 6’ tall, in his late 20s or early 30s, wearing a dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt.

The man pulled out what the suspect believed to be a small black handgun and demanded the victim’s money. He then fled north on Acushnet Avenue without taking anything.

No injuries were reported in the incident, which happened at 6:17 p.m.
