Around Town with Phil: International Cannabis Seminar

It's being billed as the Second Annual international Cannabis Physicians Association Seminar, slated for Wednesday, June 20, at 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Fairhaven Hampton Inn, located at One Hampton Way. It is presented by Growing In Health.

The President of the ICPA, Dr. Ian Rivera, will be speaking on the role of medicinal cannabis when dealing with debilitating chronic pain.

Other experts include Dr. Kellie Roberge from Tricann Alternatives, who will be addressing the subject of specific ailments and their focused cannabis treatment. And if you're wondering if cannabis products can help your pet, Kathy Nobrega from Go Doggy K-9 Wellness & Rehabilitation will be presenting a video on the medical benefits of properly administrating CBD & THC to your furry friend!

The organizers are hoping to draw a large crowd to learn about the healing power of cannabis, and also to help break the stigma that surrounds the issue. There will be physicians in attendance to assist anyone in need of obtaining an MMJ patient card.
