Are Increased Security Measures Only For Large Events?

Over the Fourth of July holiday, increased security measures will be put in place in Boston as an effort to keep large crowds safe from attacks. That's in Boston. Is it your opinion that other venues that attract sizable crowds in our local area should also step up heavier security controls, or not?
