New Mexican Bistro Is Bringing the Flavor to Plymouth
Some serious flavor is coming to Main Street in Plymouth.
With one location in Falmouth and one in Hyannis, Añejo Mexican Bistro will add a third in Plymouth, and the popular Mexican destination gave a sneak peek into its newest location.
Añejo Mexican Bistro
According to the restaurant's website, Añejo translates to tequila aged in smoke barrels for over a year, giving it a golden amber color and a soft, smooth finish.
With a name like Añejo Mexican Bistro, you can expect good tequila. A full tequila and mezcal menu is accompanied by a lunch, brunch and dinner menu, as well as craft cocktails that are almost too pretty to drink.
Its Falmouth location is where it all began, providing a laid-back setting for a great margarita. Next was the Hyannis location and it’s a whole vibe.
Choose from the dining room, the Beechtree taqueria, the tequila lounge or a seat right on Main Street to enjoy fresh Mexican cuisine.
What to Expect at Añejo in Plymouth
The creators behind Añejo gave foodies a glimpse of their newest location coming to Plymouth, and it seems just as eye-catching as the others.
Mexican influences can be seen from floor to ceiling with intricate décor in every room. The sneak peek gives a glimpse of a grand spiral staircase that stands in the middle of the restaurant and a portrait of Frida Kahlo can be seen that will overlook future guests.

If this location is anything like the others, the real appeal of Añejo will be the menu options.
Bright colors and bold flavor seem to be the trend, with options such as pork carnitas, carne asada, a full brunch menu, a margarita menu and cocktails for every flavor palette.
The restaurant was tight-lipped on the exact opening day, but their latest post has created quite the buzz for those of us looking for tasty margs and Mexican cuisine.
“Not (opening) soon enough,” one online user wrote.
Stay tuned for the grand opening of the newest restaurant in Plymouth.
