The fate of the man charged with killing "American Sniper" Chris Kyle is in the hands of the jury.

Closing arguments wrapped up today in a Texas courtroom with prosecutors telling jurors Eddie Ray Routh committed a "cold, calculated capital murder" when he shot and killed Kyle and friend Chad Littlefield at a gun range in 2013.

Defense lawyers argued Routh, a former U.S. Marine, is a paranoid schizophrenic and should be found not guilty by reason of insanity.

If convicted, Routh could face life in prison without parole. (Metro Networks Inc.)
