One of the most prevalent day-to-day challenges for individuals with disabilities is access to affordable and regularly scheduled transportation.

Many individuals with disabilities don’t have a driver's license, and third party ride services like Uber, Lyft, or a traditional cab company often don’t have available vehicles that can accommodate a passenger with a developmental difference or those who use an assisted walking device such as a walker or wheelchair. Furthermore, using third party driver services regularly can be cost-prohibitive, especially for those living on a fixed income.

Luckily, there is a readily available and affordable transportation option for individuals with disabilities provided by Southeastern Regional Transit Authority, better known as SRTA.

SRTA’s Demand Response Service serves residents with disabilities in the 10 cities and towns in their service area. To be eligible, the passenger must fill out an application, have their doctor sign it, and submit it to SRTA. If the passenger is traveling with a personal care attendant (PCA), it should be noted on the application. Applicants don’t need a photo ID to use Demand Response Service.

Check Out Some of the Worst Parking Jobs in Massachusetts

We all know that Massachusetts drivers are among the worst in the U.S. (and proud of it!), but some of us are evidently really bad at parking, too. In fact, there's a whole Facebook group dedicated to the subject. Here are some of the best (worst) pahked cahs from Ma--hole drivers on their list.

North Shore Roast Beef Places Worth the Drive

North Shore roast beef is its own kind of special sandwich. From the thin-sliced rare beef to the toasted bun, it may seem easily replicable, but not very roast beef sandwich is a North Shore roast beef sandwich. The best way to order one is as a "three-way" with James River BBQ sauce, American cheese and mayo. Here are some of the spots that our listeners say do it the best.
