Looking for something to stream? There's a new movie on the way with ties to Massachusetts. This one, however, may be gruesome and is not recommended for a young audience.

True crime stories have seen a popularity surge in recent years, from The Good Nurse to The Tinder Swindler to Netflix’s Dahmer.

Keira Knightley stars in a new film to keep that trend going. It's coming to Hulu in March and it's centered around a reporter, played by Knightley, as she follows the Boston Strangler murders, a string of 13 slayings of women in the Boston area during the 1960s.

The film tells the story through the eyes of journalist Loretta McLaughlin, the first to connect the murders and break the story. Along with fellow reporter Jean Cole, she challenged the sexism of the 1960s while dealing with the nail-biting pressure of the job.

This could be a refreshing take on the true crime genre, putting the focus on one of the heroes instead of the murderer.

The director is Matt Ruskin. Other cast members include Carrie Coon, Alessandro Nivola and David Dastmalchian.

Boston Strangler will be released on Hulu March 17.
