Two New Bedford organizations and joining forces to give the old Capitol Theater building on Acushnet Avenue a brand new look.

The Waterfront Historic Area League (WHALE) and the Community Economic Development Center are collaborating on the project, which is currently in the design stage. When the estimated $5 million makeover is completed, the building should serve as a key part of the revitalization of the North End Business District.

WHALE's Teri Bernert and Corinne Williams join Jim Phillips this week on Townsquare Sunday to discuss the nuts and bolts of the project and some of the challenges that lie ahead. The interview can be heard here:
