The latest episode in the coronavirus pandemic is the development and distribution of vaccines to combat COVID-19.

Vaccines have now been distributed to medical facilities in New Bedford, but in much smaller numbers than expected. Such is the case at the New Bedford Community Health Center on Purchase Street, where 300 does of the Moderna vaccine was delivered in December.

Chief Operating Officer Cheryl Bartlett stopped by Townsquare Sunday this week to discuss vaccine distribution, and how the vaccination process has gone in her own building. Her comments may surprise you.

Townsquare Sunday is a weekly public affairs program highlighting individuals and organizations working to make Greater New Bedford a better place to live. The program airs every Sunday morning at 6 on 1420 WBSM.

If you would like to have your organization featured on Townsquare Sunday, you can email the host at jim.phillips@townsquaremedia.com.
