Back to the 50's with classic antique cars, bands, DJ's spinning 45's and thousands of folks filling the streets of downtown New Bedford, Thursday, July 16. It's an annual event that attracts young and old. There's dancing in the streets and lots to eat, too. All the downtown shops and businesses are open as a throwback to the days when downtown was the centerpiece of commerce.

Joe Jesus is synonymous with those oldies but goodies. He has managed to grow this event every year with great crowds, entertainment and classic cars. All the monies raised through a $5 car admission will be donated to Mercy Meals and More and Neediest Family Fund.

The downtown will resemble a movie set and folks will be celebrating a kind of high school reunion. The 50's Night event is a signature community gathering unlike any other in the area.
