$10K in Cocaine Seized at New Bedford Home, Eight Arrested
NEW BEDFORD - Members of the New Bedford Police narcotics division arrested seven adults and one juvenile and took nearly $10,000 worth of cocaine, a .22 caliber revolver and ammunition and a small amount of heroin off the streets Thursday after an investigation into cocaine distribution at 338 North Front St., Apt. 1N.
As a result of the execution of a search warrant, police found nearly 94 grams of cocaine, a small amount of heroin, a .22 caliber supershot eight revolver, five rounds of .22 caliber ammunition, packaging materials, digital scales and $2,640 in cash.
A portion of the cocaine and the revolver were found in the basement of the multi-family dwelling.
The following arrests were made:
Carlos Ruben Ramos, 20, 28 Gerard Way, Apt. J, Holyoke: possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of heroin, conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Daniel Witkos, 53, 333 Middle Road, Acushnet, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, unlawful possession of ammunition, conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Steven D. McGruder, 48, 316 Davis St., New Bedford, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, unlawful possession of ammunition, conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Isaac Joel Rivera, 20, 318 Smith St. Apt. A, New Bedford, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, unlawful possession of ammunition, conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Ronald Anthony Tavares, 49, 848 Mt. Pleasant St., New Bedford, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, unlawful possession of ammunition, conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Lindsey Roderick, 29, 254 Wood St., Yarmouth, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, unlawful possession of ammunition, conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Phillip Dean Oliver, 47, 2110 Phillips Rd. Apt. 31, New Bedford, , possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, unlawful possession of ammunition, conspiracy to violate drug laws.
17-year-old male juvenile, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, unlawful possession of ammunition, conspiracy to violate drug laws.
