Woman Struck By Car Outside Dartmouth High School Dies

Hortense Medeiros, the 78-year-old woman struck by a car outside Dartmouth High School Tuesday night, has died.

Notification of her death was provided to WBSM News by Medeiros's family.

Following that accident, Medeiros was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of that car, identified as 27-year-old April Pimental of New Bedford, was taken to St. Luke's Hospital.

The incident is currently under investigation by Officer Jason Arruda and the Dartmouth Police Department Crash Reconstruction and Detective Units.
