Winter Storm Turns Deadly

One Pennsylvania man says he didn't see this much snow when he lived in Colorado.

    The latest in a series of winter storms to hit the region has residents of the mid-Atlantic and the Northeast shoveling again today. Philadelphia received nearly nine inches of snow. New York City had nearly 10 inches.

    At least 20 deaths are blamed on the storm.

    It earlier left about 750,000 homes and businesses without power in Georgia, the Carolinas and Alabama. Scattered outages are also reported in the mid-Atlantic. More than 200,000 utility customers in the Atlanta area alone are waiting for the power to come back on.

                 Some roads around Raleigh, North Carolina, were still clogged with abandoned vehicles this morning. Crews were working to tow them to safe areas where their owners could recover them.

    The storm grounded more than 6,000 flights today.  (Associated Press)
