A day after being shutout by the Blue Jays, the Boston Red Sox answered back in a big way with a 13-0 thrashing in Toronto.

It was a big day for Red Sox home runs, as the team hit a total of six, three of which were slammed by Will Middlebrooks. Middlebrooks, who was 4-5 on the day, got to Blue Jays' pitcher R.A. Dickey twice before his exit in the fifth inning. Daniel Nava, Jacoby Elsbury and Mike Napoli all homered in the win, as well.

Boston's pitching did very well. Jon Lester improves to 2-0 on the season, and goes 7 innings against the Blue Jays on Sunday. Boston will face the Baltimore Orioles on Monday afternoon to officially open Fenway Park for the season.
