“You break it, you own it”Colin Powell Secretary of State under President George W. Bush April 23, 2004

Sec. Powell was of course referring to America’s responsibility for Iraq after invading it and removing their brutal dictator Saddam Hussein. The press and the Democrat Party certainly agreed with the wisdom of his statement and held its wisdom again and again as the war suffered major setbacks even after the tangible goals were achieved in 2007 and President Bush was out of office.

How about today? We are seeing a multi-national, mass exodus out of the Middle East and Northern Africa. Places that President Obama meddled with and altered the destinies of in nations like Syria, Egypt and Libya.

In 2010, President Obama implied direct intervention if then Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak used any military forces to put down the coup d`etat orchestrated by the Muslim Brotherhood which the world was witnessing. Mubarak stood by passively watching the radicals he had effectively kept down, take over Egypt as Obama steered into power, President Mohamed Morsi who then threw Mubarak in jail as he set out to murder and throw out Egyptian Coptic Christians and others. Within two years, moderate Muslims, secularists and Christians overthrew the brutal Obama backed Morsi regime.

Again in 2011, Obama supported a military overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi, even using American planes to bomb Libyan assets without consent of Congress. Today Libya is strife with war, lost enormous territorial control to ISIS and has some 300 militias battling it out.

Syria; While no one of good will would mourn the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime, President Obama actually armed the very same people who became ISIS commanders and these arms are today used to brutally murder all non Sunni Muslims in Syria, Iraq and Libya; all places “we” broke.

Today, tens of thousands of people from these nations are fleeing the region in boats unworthy of the trek across the sea to Europe. Thousands have already drowned and many more are invading a continent quite reluctant to absorb their numbers and their problems.

I guess the lack of scorn and criticism of the President means that Powell’s quote only has wisdom if the President has an ‘R’ next to his name. But ask this, as we see Arab families forced to choose between a most dangerous journey at sea or bloodthirsty Muslim zealots who roam their nations beheading, raping and immolating people, who owns that?
