Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! Another week, another animal to brag about.

Animals bring so much joy to a person's life. Coming home to a pet is a love that every person deserves to experience, and hundreds of animals on the SouthCoast living in shelters hope to find a forever home and love you unconditionally.

Thanks to local shelters, we give the spotlight to one lucky animal each week in hopes of finding the perfect family. This week, a little cat in New Bedford hopes to find a new best friend.

Meet Midnight, a 1-year-old domestic shorthair that unfortunately had a rough start.

"She went through a lot when she was a kitten, but has grown into a beautiful cat with very shiny fur," said Moby Kit Rescue, the foster-based rescue looking out for Midnight.

Midnight is friendly, quiet, affectionate, gentle and loves other cats.

"She can be very scared of new situations and people, so her ideal home is quiet and doesn't have dogs and kids," Moby Kit said. "Once she feels comfortable in her new home, she is very lovable."
