Westport Police Continue Investigation Into Theft Of Religious Items, Reward Being Offered

Westport Police are releasing photo's of items stolen from St. John the Baptist Church on Main Road, in hopes someone will recognize them and contact Police. 

The theft was discovered on the afternoon of March 2.  Taken was an antique tabernacle from 1911, a prayer book, antique condlesticks and a chalice.

The church is offering a $1,300 reward for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved.  The money was collected from donations offered by congregation members.
