When weak and ineffective political leaders refuse to clamp down on violent anarchists, they place their communities and those sworn to defend those communities in the crosshairs.

At least five police officers were shot and two others ambushed during riots on Monday night because the politicians are playing silly kiss-ass games with the rioters rather than establishing law and order. When you put law enforcement on the street and don't allow them to do their job, you devalue their lives and make them targets. It's even worse when the political leaders coddle the subversives by kneeling with them and offer sweet words of understanding.

Subversives like nothing more than to hear fools like Elizabeth Warren saying things like the criminal justice system is racist "front to back" and Barack Obama complaining that the police behaved "stupidly." The objective of the anarchists is to create chaos while targeting authority and that means law enforcement. They create distrust and then put targets on the backs of law enforcement officials. Our leftist politicians are only too happy to assist.

Our police are asked to protect the streets of our cites that for the last seven nights have become battlefields. Yet they have not been allowed to do their job. Weak-kneed politicians, more concerned about winning elections than winning the peace, have tied the hands of the police. By doing so, they make our officers susceptible to violence.

The politicians need to stop trying to make nice with the violent radicals and give the police the tools and the manpower necessary to complete the task of making our cities safe once again.
