Wareham Woman Facing Drug Possession Charges
A Wareham woman is facing drug possession charges after a traffic stop Wednesday morning.
Police Chief Kevin Walsh says that at roughly 10:45 a.m. a vehicle was stopped over on Main Street in the area of Stoney Run Drive.
The driver, identified as 27-year-old Courtney Mitchell, had two outstanding warrants and a revoked Massachusetts Driver's License.
A further investigation lead to the discovery of two knotted plastic baggies hidden containing approximately 6 grams of heroin hidden inside a soda can.
Mitchell was arrested at the scene and arraigned in Wareham Fourth District Court on Possession of a Class A Substance (Heroin) With Intent to Distribute and Operating After License Suspension.
She was also arrested for her outstanding warrants which were to be addressed at the arraignment.
