Wareham Tigers Headed To Florida After Raising $50,000

The Wareham Tigers Junior Midget football team has raised $50,000 over the past week, and is now headed to the Pop Warner National Championships in Orlando, Florida.

Head Coach Chris Perry says local businesses and doners stepped up this week to make the trip happen.

Perrry says in the 1990's another Wareham team qualified for the National Championships, but couldn't raise the money for the trip....

The Tigers will depart from the Wareham Fire Station at 12 noon Thursday.  Their first game is Saturday at 4pm against a team from California and can be seen on ESPN3.
