On Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at approximately 5:00 pm, Detective Dean Decas reported receiving a LoJack signal that indicated a stolen vehicle was in the Wareham area.

The signal was tracked to a garage at 2591 Cranberry Highway, where the vehicle and a male, later identified as 35-year-old Wareham resident Tyrone Lindsay, were located.

The vehicle, a 2009 Infiniti sedan, was confirmed as being stolen from Taunton, MA earlier during the day, and Mr. Lindsay was placed under arrest.

Further investigation determined that Mr. Lindsay was in possession of just under 20 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of approximately $2000, along with $1,163 in cash.

Tyrone Lindsay has been charged with Trafficking in Cocaine, Receiving Stolen Property (Motor Vehicle), and Malicious Damage to a Motor Vehicle (evidence of slashed/punctured tires). He was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning at Wareham District Court.
