A home at 10 Daniel Road in Wareham was condemned by the Board of Health Tuesday due to “unsanitary conditions’’ and water system problems.

According to South Coast Today.com, “the action followed a response by the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services’ hazardous materials team after a medical call came in alleging that someone had suffered chemical burns.”

The chemical burns complaint prompted a call to the hazmat team.

The home was inhabited by an elderly man and his son.

“A sign has been posted outside the home indicating the structure is unfit for human habitation. The house will remain vacant until the conditions are addressed and the health board approves the property for habitation.”
