WAREHAM — Members of the Wareham Fire Department responded to a tractor trailer hauling debris that was on fire Thursday afternoon.

The vehicle was traveling on Route 25 at the time of the fire.

Onset Fire, Bourne Fire and Plymouth Fire also responded to the scene. Wareham Fire officials say that it was an extensive operation, due to the fact that there were no fire hydrants available because of the location. Tanker trucks from the assisting departments had to shuttle water to the scene from fire hydrants.

According to Massachusetts State Police, there were no injuries reported.
