A founder of the Greater New Bedford Track Club and a veteran runner hopes for a festive mood Monday at the Boston Marathon.

But Dr. Larry Finnerty of New Bedford fears the Marathon will likely never be the same, after last year's terrorist bombings that killed three people and injured 260.

Finnerty is hoping that runners in this year's Marathon send out a message of determination and resolve......

Finnerty says he believes runners and spectators this year will be much more guarded about the people and the objects around them.
