United Way of Greater New Bedford Offers Free Online Tax Filing Tool

According to United Way of Greater New Bedford, 95 percent of low-income families have suffered a layoff or income loss due to the pandemic.

"These households can use their tax refund to buy food, make rent, pay bills or debt, and save for emergencies. United Way provides free tax prep to help struggling families rebuild their financial foundations."

United Way of Greater New Bedford announced the launch of this tax season’s MyFreeTaxes site. For the 12th year, United Way and H&R Block have partnered to provide H&R Block Online tax filing software, accessible through MyFreeTaxes.com, to help taxpayers easily and accurately file their taxes from their computer or smartphone. MyFreeTaxes is a free and easy way to file simple federal and up to three state tax returns for free.
