UMass president Robert Caret says the University will now have its own report card.  From now on, UMass will measure how well it does in six distinct areas.

UMass will strive for student success, an educated citizenry, world class research, and social well-being. It will also agree to be a good steward of its own resources and successfully market the UMass story.

Caret unveiled the new system to the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce yesterday, saying he wants to increase transparency and accountability.
