UMass Dartmouth Professor Comes Up Short For Nobel Peace Prize

A UMass Dartmouth professor finishes out of the running for this year’s Nobel Peace prize. The Announcement is made in Oslo.

Only one announcement remains to be made, the winner of the 2012 Nobel Prize for Economics. To win the coveted peace prize, the EU had to beat out the likes of University of Massachusetts Dartmouth political science professor Gene Sharp, an Egyptian Coptic Christian known to many as the “Mother Teresa of Cairo,” the president of Myanmar and Moscow’s Echo radio, arguably one of the most important free media outlets in all of Russia.
