University officials say an independent contractor has been conducting air quality tests over the weekend, with the results good enough to re-open the building to staff members today. Senior staff members will be assessing the state of physical assets in the offices on the fourth floor, ensuring the space can be opened up to regular staff members tomorrow.

The fifth floor will remain closed until repairs have been completed. Construction crews have been on the site for most of the summer, renovating the library space.
