UMass Dartmouth officials say the Unviersity budget may be as much as $15 million in the red, but there is some good news.  Following a Thursday forum on-campus involving administrators, faculty and students, Chancellor Divina Grossman was delighted by most people's willingness to help.....

Grossman offered a series of ideas on ways to save money, including an evaluation of all courses being offered.  It was also suggested that there be a hiring freeze on the Dartmouth Campus, and that positions now vacant, be left that way or phased out.  Grossman says she'll review all the suggestions and put together a plan to address the budget deficit.
