Two Sought in New Bedford Convenience Store Robbery

Police are searching for two suspects in connection with a convenience store robbery last night. According to police, the Coggeshall Street Food Mart was robbed at gunpoint at about 8:40 last night.

Two masked men, wielding a gun and a hammer, broke into the store's coin machine and cash register, making off with at least $200. The store's owner and his wife were not hurt. Witnesses describe the first suspect as a 6' white male, wearing a grey shirt and sweatpants, a white baseball cap with a red brim, bearing a tattoo on his left wrist.

The second suspect is a white male standing at about 5'7", wearing a black and white striped shirt and black pants. Anyone with information is urged to call detectives at 508-991-6300 ext 123.
