Two North Front Street Residents Over 60 Arrested for Drug Crimes
NEW BEDFORD - Two people are arrested after police search a North Front Street home.
New Bedford Police say an apartment at 329 North Front Street was searched on a warrant Tuesday night, with officers finding a small amount of cocaine, $8,528 in cash, a digital scale, and packaging materials.
Police arrested two occupants of the apartment, 61-year-old Maria Ferrer-Pinet and 65-year-old Rafael Lopez Berrios, and charged them with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Police say the couple was running a cocaine distribution service out of their North Front Street home.
