Two New Bedford Women Arrested in Drug Investigation

NEW BEDFORD — The New Bedford Police narcotics unit arrested two people Monday in connection with an investigation into narcotics distribution out of 41 McGurk Street, fourth floor.

A search warrant was executed at the address at about 9:55 a.m.

A quantity of pills, packaging materials and $962 in cash were found.

Police made two arrests:

Jennifer B. Aguiar, 36, 41 McGurk St. Apt. 4, New Bedford, was charged with possession of Xanax with intent to distribute, possession of Gabapentin with intent to distribute and possession of class E substance with intent to distribute within 100 feet of a park. The address is located within 100 feet of Ruth Street Neighborhood Common Park.

Michele D. Hannon, 33, 92 Maryland St., New Bedford was also arrested on three outstanding warrants.
