Two New Bedford Residents Face Heroin Trafficking Charges
Two New Bedford residents are facing drug charges following their arrest Tuesday night by members of the Organized Crime and Intelligence Bureau.
Detective Captain Steven Vicente says that at around 8 p.m. search warrant was executed at 912 County Street Apartment 3 following an investigation into a heroin delivery service.
One of the suspects, identified as 24-year-old Javier Junior Natal, was arrested as he drove away from the home in a car belonging to his girlfriend, identified as 36-year-old Kathleen Ramos-Serrano.
Ramos-Serrano, who is also considered a suspect in the case, was arrested inside the apartment.
Vicente says both were taken into custody without incident.
During a search of the apartment officers also found approximately seven ounces of heroin, a digital scale, packaging material and $1,427 in cash.
Both suspects were arraigned Wednesday in New Bedford District court on Heroin trafficking and conspiracy charges.
