Two men face kidnapping and rape charges in connection to a nearly two-year-old case.

New Bedford Detective Captain Steven Vicente says a 14-year-old girl recently reported to police an incident in January 2012, and alleged that 24-year-old Harold Vega, a homeless man residing in Hyannis, and 46-year old Steve Pease of Cedar Junction raped and kidnapped the young girl, and would not let her leave Vega's apartment.

Vega was arrested Tuesday in Hyannis. Pease is currently serving a 3-5 year sentence on a firearms violation.

Both men face charges of forcible rape of a child under 16, aggravated rape, kidnapping, and enticing a child.
