Two Injured In Crash On Route 24

Two men were hospitalized following a Wednesday morning crash on Route 24 South.

The crash, involving a dump truck and a car, took place at 11:40 a.m. at the ramp to Airport Road in Fall River, according to a press release from the Massachusetts State Police.

Debris was spilled onto the roadway and only left lane remained open until 2 p.m., causing a mile long backup.

Both drivers, identified as a 58-year- old man from Mattapan and 47-year-old man from North Dartmouth, were transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

The incident remains under investigation.
