Two Arrested For Trafficking Heroin In Bourne
Two people are facing heroin trafficking charges after a Sunday night traffic stop in Bourne.
The Massachusetts State Police News Blog says a Chevy Equinox was pulled over on the southbound side of Route 28 at around 9 p.m. for motor vehicle violations.
During an investigation both the driver, identified as 19-year-old Summer Sargent of Hyannis, and the vehicle's passenger, identified as 20-Edwin Rivera of Mashpee, were found to be in possession of 72 grams of suspected heroin.
The two were arrested and arraigned Monday in Falmouth District Court.
In addition to a trafficking charge Sargent faces additional charges of OUI-Drugs, Negligent operation of a motor vehicle, Operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, Marked lanes violation, and Speeding.
