Todd Akin In Trouble For Comments On ‘Legitimate Rape’

Missouri Republican representative Todd Akin is probably wishing people didn't know his name, but after some comments he made over the weekend, he is not well liked.

Todd Akin was running for a senate seat, but now, his fellow republicans are urging him to drop out of the race. Akin's comments on abortion and rape have made many people furious.

Everyone is weighing in on the situation, and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said that these statements are ones that he can't defend. President Obama was asked to comment as well, and he said that Akin's comments were 'hard to comprehend'.

Akin says that he doesn't have any desire to drop out of the Senate race. The GOP is concerned that he will cost them control in the chamber, and untimately hurt their party's chances all together.
