The State’s First Casino License May Be Awarded In 2014

The state gaming board is saying the first casino license may not be awarded until 2014.  The announcement was made yesterday, after the state's consultant projected a detailed schedule.  One of the requirements that could cause a delay is the extensive background check for applicants, which could take up to nine months.
