The Red Sox Win an Exciting Game in Detroit- WBSM Wednesday Sports (AUDIO)

The Red Sox shut out the Tigers 1-0 in Game 3 last night. Mike Napoli homered in the 7th inning for the games only run and John Lackey out dueled Justin Verlander for the win. Boston leads the best-of-seven series 2 games to 1. Game 4 is tonight in Detroit. WBSM pregame time is 7:20pm.

In the National League, the St. Louis Cardinals are just a win away from the World Series after beating the Dodgers 4 to 2 in LA. Game 5 of that series is this afternoon.

The Bruins are back in action tomorrow night as they face the Panthers in Florida.

The Patriots are back on the practice field preparing for their second meeting of the season with the NY Jets.

The Celtics lost to Paul Pierce and the Nets in Brooklyn last night 82-80.

VOLLEYBALL: Stang over Westport 3-0, New Bedford beat ORR 3-0 , Avon topped Upper Cape 3-2 and Case beat Voc Tech 3-2.
