The Southcoast Rail Project continues to be on the minds of Greater New Bedford lawmakers, including Rep. Antonio Cabral of New Bedford.

Cabral's Committee on Bonding and Capital Expenditures is currently considered a provision to fully fund the extension of commuter rail service from Boston to New Bedford and Fall River.

Stoughton Gears Up To Challenge Southcoast Rail

 

The town of Stoughton is putting its money where its mouth is. 

A special Town Meeting last week approved $150,000 to pay for a legal challenge of an Army Corps of Engineers report, naming the Stoughton-route as the best alternative for bringing commuter rail service to the Southcoast.
